Custom annotation?

Thinking of creating a custom annotation much like @PulsarListener but with high level abstraction. Was wondering, is it frowned upon taking this approach and registering with PulsarListenerEndpointRegistry directly?

Got it working but not sure if it is a good idea sample code:
