Previously working on
I believe that the lockup occurred first after including the kernel PRs for 4.14.189, 4.14.190 and LA.UM.7.1.r1-16600-sm8150.0, but I am not 100% sure that it did not occur earlier as well. I had during my holidays last week several crashes and didn't collect the crash logs.
Description
I switched to flight mode and then typed whatsapp message. After a while phone was hanging for several seconds and then crashed and rebooted.

Symptoms
Phone is no longer reacting, after a while it reboots.
How to reproduce
I haven't found a way yet to reproduce it, currently it is a one time occurrence.
