I am now finding it difficult to understand after SimpleStorage-hardhat, even forgot some though I am consistent. Please, is there anywhere to practice what I have learnt so far.

Mate ,
Just trust me , you will get better and better as the course goes on, cause there is like a lotta of projects you are going to be seeing in the this course , so dont overstress on the fact that you tend to forget small details in solidity , because trust me it doesnt matter , as you go along just make sure you are not blindly copying the code , but you are actuallly understanding what you are writing and what does it do , if you wanna practise , then go ahead and try to write a smart contract on your own , you may find it bit tough in the begining but as you find solution to all the problems you face on the way , i am sure you will become a good solidity dev . From your question i understand that you have reached simple-storage , mate there are a lot more contracts and deployments scripts you are gonna write if you follow along , this will make your concepts clear even if you missed some at this stage of the course . Also Patrick has done an amazing job explaining the stuff , like even in the later stages of the course , he explains everything like we are doing it for the first time , this will reduce the number of time you will have to go back and revise .

Wow! I really appreciate your response and words of encouragement. I always try to understand each line of code and what they do. I will keep pushing though it has not been easy. I started learning with zero knownledge of coding.

Your appreciation really means much to me and i am happy i was able to help you with your question
As of now you have reached Simple-storage in hardhat right , so we have already written it in remix, its definitely human that you might not remember that code , but what you can do is , instead of copy pasting or copying the code from remix or from Patrick , you can just read through the remix version , try to analyse what we are doing here , trying to write the Contract as like in the contract in remix , but by yourself , you can definitely take a peek at the code , dont go so strict on yourself , also there are way more to learn , so when you hit a problem , dont get upset , maybe its something Patrick is yet to say in the course(It has happened to me a lot , I will think like why is this issue happening , why cant i solve it, then i will choose to continue to watch the video any way and then boom , Patrick is like "There is this issue that will happen " lol , sometimes it feels very funny ). I would suggest that you should follow along with course more till like maybe the end of hardhat-fund-me project , because then like you will get an idea of how contracts work , deployment works , testing works etc... . Then maybe you can slowly take the learning wheels off and try writing the contracts yourself. Also if some doubt linkers in your mind while you learn this course , i would suggest that you go google it out find it out , this way you may take more time to complete the course , but you will learn more and you will be strong on your foundations .

And also as a general advise , when you face problems with the versions of the packages (most probably you will because its been like 2 years since this tutorial came out ) you could either go to the docs of the newer version of the package and figure out how to solve the issue , but if thats too complicated , just delete your yarn.lock file , paste the package.json from patricks github repo onto yours and then just do yarn install . This should solve the version issues because , then you will be using the same version as Patrick is using in the video.
