my laptop not have enough stability to handle wsl

hi guys,i have been learning this course from last weak,pattrick told us to install wsl,i installed by his instruction,
my laptop is 4gb ra and 1 tb HHd,i couldnt do any big installation in it,even i installed wsl and connect the vs code with ubuntu terminal
it takes much time and not open,can i continues doing the course without wsl.i want to become a skilled blockchain developer,i dont want any lag in my path.please answer my doubt friends,is that possible to continue with windows terminal
