error unmounting zfs mount device busy

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to upgrade a node running v1.8.1 with a zfs volume mounted. The upgrade consistently fails with the following error:

sequence error: sequence failed: error running phase 6 in upgrade sequence: task 2/2: failed, error unmounting <path>: device or resource busy

I've tried to drain the node first to make sure no PV was using the volume but that didn't help much. Any idea or suggestion that would help go through with the upgrade?

You could try a staged upgrade followed by a reboot, talosctl upgrade --staged and then a reboot, this error means the volume is held by something

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to help ☹️

try to manually unmount the pool from a priviliged debug container, this is something within zfs that's keeping the mount open and nothing to do with talos
