If the media is fully removed from arr (not just the file) it will properly get attributed "deleted" and not requested. If you only delete the file but keep the media as "monitored" that's why this happens. The whole point of seerr is to monitor items on arr. Fully deleting an item from arr and running media availability sync job will mark items as deleted and can be re-requested. If its not working for you please send logs after deleting an item and running media availability sync job in our support channel. |

I have this same problem! I don't keep a ton of media on my server due to storage limitations. So often things can be deleted, then need to be re-requested. In my experience, requests aren't deleted when things are no longer monitored or deleted on sonarr/radarr. So its impossible to re-request media. |

This has already been addressed above, so reiterating for visibility: Seerr does support re-requesting content once it has been fully removed. When an item is deleted from both your media server (Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby) and Radarr or Sonarr, the media availability sync job will mark it as deleted, allowing it to be requested again. If this is not happening in your setup, it indicates a sync issue or an instance specific problem, not a missing feature. We cannot troubleshoot individual setups in this discussion. If you are experiencing this, please use our Discord support channel and include logs after running the media availability sync job so we can properly investigate. There is also a known issue that may affect some cases which is already fixed (see #2850) and will be available in the next release. It can be tested using the Additional replies saying "same issue" do not add new information. They create noise, make it harder for others to find the solution through search, and make it more difficult for maintainers to keep discussions useful and focused. For support, please use Discord. |

Scenario:
User requests a film or part of a TV series.
This sets the content as requested.
Once available, the content shows as Available.
The content is then removed a week later (various reasons) from the arr and Plex and in seerr it returns to state: requested.
If another user want's to request the same content 6 months later, they can't because the content is still stuck in the requested state.
Request:
Have the option to have "requested" content that reached a state of "available" be reset after a configurable amount of time to allow it to be re-requested again.
