MS2LDA web platform loading is very slow

Dear developers,

sometimes, the loading of the MS2LDA web platform is very/extremely slow. This has happened since the first days of the creation of the platform. Is there something on our side that we can adressed to improve the performance of the web?

Your platform is such an incredible tool for untargeted metabolomics, however, the abovementioned problem is a setback.

Thank you @Rommelio-coli for your interest in MS2LDA, and I appreciate the kind words of encouragement.

You're right that the system is slow, and it has been that way since the platform was launched. To speed up the system would take a complete rewrite of the backend. We need a more efficient way to store and load large matrices, rather than putting them into database as it is in the moment. Unfortunately we don't have the resources/manpower to do that yet.

We have some plans to launch an offline software package that can be used to explore ms2lda results that come from either the ms2lda website or from GNPS .. but work is slow on that front since I'm busy with other things. I will try to find time in the coming months, but if anybody is interested to help with the coding, please get in touch with me.
