Has anyone got this project to work?

I'm having trouble getting this project to actually run and return real data. Can anyone give a testimony that they have actually got the project to run?

This entire repository is an odd hallucination of a project, it doesn't work because this entire project is fake, look at #943, #934, #567 or any of the other issues.

I agree with @Axodouble . I tested this with 2 ESP32-S3 boards and movement detection does work — but only along a single signal path.

The core idea of this project is that movement is detected when the signal between devices is disturbed. If the link between the two ESP32s stays clean, nothing is reported as movement. Walk beside that line instead of through it and you won’t be detected, even if you’re only a step away.

If you want full-area coverage, you’d need a signal mesh that blankets the whole space — which basically means ESP32s on every wall lol :D For that use case, a single presence sensor is the simpler and more reliable option. Beyond the basic proof-of-concept, most of the rest feels overstated.

I have been working on this for 3 days, as time allows. I have less than 8-10 hours committed with a single ESP32-c6 (M5nanoC6).

Have had to compile firmware for RISC (ESPc6 vs. s3) and finally got packet CSI payload unlocked and receiving at the sensing server.

I am using a Unifi NanoHD AP, and broadcasting a test wfi network just for this project on channel 1. It does work (packet payload) but I havent gotten the graphical pose view, (like the demo on the site). I believe I am very close. Gemini is helping but this stuff is "deep and wide" (at least for me at the moment). Perhaps it will work better with multiple edge sensors. I will add more. At $12ea, seems cost approachable, and seems it will be better than mmwave.

Just my thoughts. No snake oil detected yet. It seems that "it's in there".

I have been working 3 days now, for getting presence(as a first step), but not successful yet, but these test were 6 weeks old version. I updated and will test again.
