Tables not rendered properly on mobile

On mobile, tables are showing only the first two columns and are unable to scroll to view the rest of the table. This is in the gitbook version at https://bookdown.org/yihui/bookdown/html-widgets.html , the tables only render properly after pdf file is downloaded. I have not viewed the epub file

The R code chunks have a horizontal scroll bar.

For reference this is a DT formatting issue: the website of DT does not render better : https://rstudio.github.io/DT/

There is a horizontal scrolling of the all page that is not possible on bookdown currently.

Not sure what is the CSS / JS trick to fix this on mobile.

Hey, haven't used this in a while. I believe a container around the table should fix this. And give the table an overflow-x: scroll
