Enhancement: Joomla 3.6 and Cake 3.3.x

Any thoughts on how to get this to work with the latest joomla and cakephp? I set it up as per directions and get an error when trying to load the app as http://joomlasite/cakeapp. Guessing it has to do with the structure of cake 3.x changing to not have the "app" directory and the rewrite rules directly referencing that. Just not sure how to change the rewrites.

Any info would be great.

I'm sure you're right; it's not been tested with CakePHP 3.x; just the latest stable versions of CakePHP 2.x and Joomla. I would expect you could update /joomla/.htaccess to be something like

SetEnvIfNoCase  REQUEST_URI "\/app\/(.+)$"  path_to_check=cakephp/webroot/$1

Not sure if there would be changes elsewhere. If you can figure it out send me a pull request.
