Potential use of Preferences to help users setup WR?

Use of Preferences button which is currently not used might be a way of simplifying the setup and use of WR.
I have not yet figured out how this would help, or specific features that might be options.
Perhaps this should be converted to a Discussion? Yes. Will do that.
