Linking PIDINST via an event (e.g. expedition) using schema:recordedAt

This possibility was introduced in the PIDINST white paper draft here: https://rda-pidinst.readthedocs.io/en/latest/white-paper/linking-datasets.html#schema-org

Basically, the idea is to introduce an schema:Event during which an schema:Dataset has been collected ( recorded). The schema:Event is represented by a schema:CreativeWork (the cruise report) which was schema:BasedOn a schema:Vehicle aka the platform.

I assume instead of a schema:Vehicle a similar link can be made to link an instrument via PIDINST. @uschindler or @kitchenprinzessin3880 may know more.

I see a few examples :
