Clarifications on how the gearbox works

Hi, I have a question about how the JD 3650 gearbox works. I noticed that you prefer to manually select the Hi-Lo range, while the gear ranges shift automatically. I use it with the Logitech 6-position shifter, and unfortunately, this means that the first 4 positions correspond to the 4 gears of the first range, while positions 5 and 6 correspond to gears 1 and 2 of the second range. I can’t set the other two gears unless I assign them to other buttons, which makes things frustrating. Is this a limitation of the game? Isn’t there a way to have separate controls for ranges and Hi-Lo? Thanks!

Hi, yes, this is a game limitation = we only have "gears" and "groups".
IRL, the 3650 gearbox = 3 different gearboxes :
hi-lo = high range and low range (powershift. small lever)
1-2-3-4 = gears (one lever, synchronized)
I II R = groups (one lever, not synchronized = complete stop to change)

for the MR conversion, I chose to remove the "groups" lever. and so, when shifting gears, you can go from I4 to II1 (8 gears total in forward)
and then, you have the "group" command that allow you to set the "hi" or "lo" powershift.

for your problem, I think we can specifiy in the tractor xml which gear is the "SHIFT_GEAR_SELECT_1", which one is the "SHIFT_GEAR_SELECT_2" etc
I will try to set I3 = SHIFT_GEAR_SELECT_1 / I4 = SHIFT_GEAR_SELECT_2 / II1 = SHIFT_GEAR_SELECT_3 / II2 = SHIFT_GEAR_SELECT_4 / II3 = SHIFT_GEAR_SELECT_5 / II4 = SHIFT_GEAR_SELECT_6

Привет хороший человек))) ты так многое сделал для реализма FS 25!!! И ты правильно описал главную ее проблему, это бестолковую коробку передач... Я играю на 6 ступенчатой коробкой передач и делителем. Да, группы передач я могу переключать спокойно, но вот проблема с задней передачей это беда!!! Включаю заднюю передачу и что бы включить первую передачу, нужно еще раз включить заднюю, это вообще какой-то кошмар.... А если я назначаю переднюю передачу на кнопку "перемещение вперед", то после включение передней передачи не возможно поставить на нейтральную передачу. Почему нельзя сделать коробку передач в этой игре как на пример в ETS2? Вы наверное уже пробовали изменить это безобразие?))) С наступающим Вас новым годом! Всего Вам наилучшего!
