Describe the issue:

After clicking "Restart Extensions" in the Extensions panel, multiple features stop functioning properly, including GitHub copilot and the R language server.

Steps to reproduce:

I am unable to reproduce this issue, but it has occurred more than once and may affect other users.

Expected or desired behavior:

Positron and all extensions should continue functioning normally after restarting extensions via the Extensions panel.

I was just working on the R LSP coming back online today! This was merged in #11207.

Would you want to switch to the dailies and get the fix tomorrow? If not, it will be part of the 2026.02 release.

That's great news!

I noticed the daily builds setting doesn't appear to work on Linux systems (maybe this should be noted in the settings). Is there a deb package available for download somewhere?

Ah yep, we've got #8306 where we are tracking getting the dailies working for Linux desktop. Apologies for that! Please do add a 👍 over there to help us prioritize.

You can expect that fix for the R LSP to reach you at the beginning of February.
