some characters appear while runnig example in Windows OS

While running the dashboard example on Windows 11 OS using GIT bash I am getting the below control characters that keep printing

That sounds like the same as in your other issue.
Let me know that terminal you were using, was it over SSH, iex?
I am not sure if git bash actually support raw terminal mode.

I tried both winodws command and windows terminal application on Windows 11 , both of them the same behavior.
I am not running it inside iex , I am rnning it as per the docs using mix run run.exs

Thanks for confirming this. Hopefully I can figure this out, must be something to do with either the terminal in windows not working with raw mode or the key-code using a different set. The next version will have two backends raw as current and a TTY terminal one with a few less components. Hopefully I will manage to make it work on windows with raw. I am mostly a windows application developper myself.

From my research, the windows Terminal does not exposes the same POSIX compatible raw-mode as in MacOs and Linux unfortunately. In order to activate raw-mode on the windows terminal you need to access the Win32 apI. One possible solution would be to create a small NIF to access the Win32 API. I will look into this but probably not until I finish the TTY backend for Nerves device. I will let you know. Sorry about the issue.
