Hi I have tried multiple times to create branch but i keep getting this error

Failed to create branch: Failed to insert preview branch can anyone direct me where to go from here, i have followed all steps, git hub integration has been enabled in my repository but tried but i cant seem to pass from here . what could it be related to ?

Same thing here, cannot create a staging branch for my project

In my case I was able to create branches yesterday. I had a staging branch (preview), and when I merged PR to main, this branch was deleted in Supabase. It was unexpected, because I didn't delete this branch on the github.

Today I tried to create staging, staging-1 and dev, nothing works via web and cli.

Unexpected error creating preview branch: {"message":"Failed to insert preview branch","errorEventId":"3cdd9e24844740a49f4c7c636da80d9b"}

I hope that errorEventId can help the Supabase team to troubleshoot this.

Same issue here. It seems that in general it is not possible anymore to create preview branches.

When creating a preview branch automatically via git pull request, the supabase test fails after 5 seconds with the error "Failed to insert preview branch". And also when trying to create a new branch manually via the supabase UI, I get the same error immediately.

I opened a ticket to their support and it seems that they have fixed it. At least it works for me now.

I found a fix for me! 🎉
You can not use main as your preview branch and you need to toggle the feature as per attached image.

What worked for me:
1- Enable Feature previews > Branching via dashboard
2- Rewire "main" branch > to be linked to "prod" branch
3- Add "staging" branch linked to "main" branch
4- Manage branches > Switch "staging" branch to persistent
