Show elevation of selected points

I've noticed that elevation is only shown for some towns/cities. Is there just no data for it for other places or can we show it for all locations? Or approximate it by the height map? As you can already add the height lines

Now elevation data is shown from OpenStreetMap.org tags. Soon we'll release the terrain/hillshadings support for the whole world, then we can show elevation at any place on the map.
