Handling network errors - do you still maintain this repo and can accept a PR?

Hi,

I just want to check if the original authors still exist and can accept a PR for this repo.

New logstash simply shuts down entire pipeline on any network error in this plugin.
In our production setup we cannot afford that and I am pretty sure no one else can :).

I forked this and made some quick changes. Whether all those errors should be retried is up for a debate but we thought internally here that they should.

If this repo is still maintained, I can make a PR with those changes (without changing the plugin name etc) to the upstream.
