Rationale
The recommendations page as currently implemented depends on the third-party Algolia service, support for which is being deprecated. As such, this page should be deprecated and removed in the same schedule.

The recommendations page and all related code (including configuration) will be removed as part of the frontend-base migration. See the following:
Replacement
No replacement will be provided as part of this deprecation process. Users that have continuing use for this feature are encouraged to develop (and optionally publish) it as a frontend plugin.
