I can't configure the code because I don't have any credits in my account. Is there any way to work around this?

Hey since this lets Claude Code control Codex you still need to have Claude Code credits. If you don't have any my recommendation would be to go directly to use the Codex CLI or Codex app as it comes with free usage if you have a ChatGPT account (even free tier).
