The package (obs-websocket) builds.

Current Behavior

The package (obs-websocket) is not building. Some error in plugins/obs-websocket/CMakeFiles/obs-websocket.dir/obs-websocket_autogen/mocs_compilation.cpp.o according to log.

Steps to Reproduce

Build obs-studio w/ obs-browser and obs-websocket

If further details/quirks are to be found, look at obs-studio-liberty in the Arch Linux AUR. As that is the build I use.

This seems to be related to an asio upstream change, possibly 49fcd03434e [1].

Having built asio from tag 1.30.2 allows obs-studio with websocket to build, but tag 1.34.0 is not good times.

Yes, I have the same problem on ALT Linux after update asio-devel to 1.34.2.

seems that io_service has been io_context since asio 1.12.0 (released 2015): chriskohlhoff/asio@45124f3, but this is a dependency issue with websocketpp not with obs-websocket.

Technically was not an obs-websocket issue to begin with but a dependency issue that needs to be resolved on their end. See zaphoyd/websocketpp#514

Though it seems this plugin and the websocketpp are both deep within maintenance purgatory. I could make a tiny patch for obs-websocket (and hope it gets merged) to recreate the deprecated alias that was deleted so that it would work in websocketpp, but it's a dirty hotfix (and fixing something in a dependency which is not exactly good practice.) Websocketpp has had a pending fix for about a year now: zaphoyd/websocketpp#1164
