Permission issues

I'm trying to use act to locally for esp-hal for the esp32-hal job: act --verbose -j esp32-hal. The job uses the xtensa-toolchain action which uses curl to download a binary from GH releases, curl throws an error since it can't write:

Is there a way to fix this? I've tried the --privileged flag with the same result?

It wasn't a act thing, the $HOME/.cargo folder was not present, hence the error
