Inpaint strength

i am loving the new inpaint addition, personally i use the forward inpaint option and the results are quite good and i prefer it a lot over the base ones like row flow, i sometimes use quite high strength for some videos from around 8-16 strength, the inpaint holds up surprisingly well even at 8 but has quite obvious breakdown above 10, is there going to be any future improvements made to the inpaint model and if so could one of them be a higher strength support? like was added to the other model that can go up to 10, if not totally understandable, probably not a lot of people pushing strength like that haha

Since I separate the training data for cases where the strength exceeds 5, training on all patterns would take about three times longer. Therefore, I only use one configuration during experiments.

so if this gets added to the main build in the future it might get higher strength support?

Hi, could someone tell me how to use inpainting?
I just found out that it was implemented, but it doesn’t show up in the program even after running update.bat.
Do I need to download it and put it in a specific folder? Or should I delete and reinstall the program from scratch?
If it’s explained somewhere, I’d really appreciate it if you could share the link, since I can’t find it. Thanks!

"You can switch to iw3_inpaint branch by following steps.

Run nunif-prompt.bat
Type git checkout -B iw3_inpaint origin/iw3_inpaint on console and push Enter key.
Run update.bat"

Thank you so much! Now the options finally show up, and I really liked the results. I’ll write a full explanation about it in my 3D group on Telegram so others can try it too.

I go through phases — sometimes I use IW3, other times Owl3D. Each one has its pros and cons.
Huge thanks to the IW3 developer as well for adding inpainting and making it usable on a decent PC, not just on a monster rig, hahaha.

The only thing it’s missing now is the ability to queue multiple files and pause/resume later, because sometimes I don’t have time to finish a conversion if I need to turn off the PC (or the power goes out — though that’s not common).

And one more thing I’ve been testing but still can’t figure out: I can’t make the 3D look quite like it does in Owl3D. To me, Owl3D feels more immersive — I don’t know how to explain it, it’s like there’s more depth separation between objects or something like that. It just feels different, and it gives that stronger 3D sensation.

I’ve always loved exaggerated 3D, I’m obsessed with this technology — and watching it on the Quest 3, in virtual environments, is just amazing.
