Edit selection

Hello!

Is it possible to edit a selection? For example, I'd like to use slop to select a part of the screen, then edit my selection before passing the coordinates to maim.

I've seen this comment, but it's not exactly what I want:

• I select an area;
• before releasing the mouse button, I press and hold the space key;
• now I can move the selection (as explained in this post), but it doesn't allow me to edit it...

You can move it, and then let go of space and continue to grow/shrink the selection. What exactly do you mean by "edit" here if not that?
