Camera connection unclear

The kit came with a USB camera but there were no instructions of where to attach it on the Mirte PCB or breadboard instructions.

I assume that it needed to be attached to the USB input of the MIRTE PCB?

The camera is indeed still an undocumented feature, and mostly being used for more advanced users using ROS. You are correct in stating that the camera should be connected to the USB-port on the PCB. ROS will launch the web video server so you can have a look at the camera feed at http://mirte.local:8181. A refactor of the webinterface is planned for v0.3 and will include some more info about the camera for non-ROS (ie python/blockly) users.
