Tramp support?

I saw the "tramp support" in doc.
But I found the related functions and variables have been removed in 511ca9b.

Does it support still? Or does doc need to be updated?

Not directly an answer to the Tramp support, but for what it's worth, I use remote jupyter kernels by launching on the remote machine the server specifying a port and using --no-browser and use port-forwarding and ssh to access the remote jupyter from my local machine.

For example, on the remote machine (maybe inside a tmux or screen session to let the notebook run even if I disconnect):

jupyter notebook --no-browser --port 8888

Then, from my local machine (where emacs runs) I ssh into the remote machine forwarding the port:

ssh -L 8888:localhost:8888 <remote machine>

(the port needs not be forwarded to the same one). Finally, in my emacs I run M-x ein:notebooklist-login which asks for the URL or port, and I give it the port 8888 (or whatever I use in the two commands above). This way I can use my local emacs configuration, including ein, but run every cell using the remote machine.
