EP1 : Instead of an agent connecting to multiple data sources, Foundry IQ allows a single connection to an agent
EP2: Two categories of Foundry IQ knowledge sources Indexed and Remote. Sharepoint can be both indexed or a remote source. Also an MCP Server can be used to query data on other data sources.
EP3: Query Planning, Source Selection and Output merging all happens inside the knowledgebase. Ability to configure reasoning Effort : Minimal, Low, Medium. Knowledgebase is an agentic retrieval layer over multiple sources.
