What isolation level should one use?

I inherited a legacy project using a dedicated DB for DT. It has READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT OFF. Is this recommended or was this just the previous developer copying the setup for the projects existing db that was set up way back when this defaulted to off?

I think this must have been done by a previous developer. We don’t have any recommendations about READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT.
