Arduino IDE 2 + nrf52DK

I am trying to get this library working for my nrf52DK board and I am having problems.
I have tried to do the modification listed here and still have problems : https://github.com/sandeepmistry/arduino-nRF5/pull/205/files/56a17f1555fad7eb9d5327e5356351460f607912

Is it suppose to work ? Should I persist ?

It worked at the time, but that was 5 years ago and you haven't provided any information on what isn't working
