NetworkError: Failed to execute 'open' on 'SerialPort: Failed to open serial port.

Hi,

I'm well aware that an issue addressing that topic has been closed, recently, but as I cannot re-open it, I'm creating a new one:

I cannot use the web flasher, any more.

When I try to flash my Heltec Wireless Tracker v1.1, I get the error message written in the title.

I get an error as well, InvalidStateError: Failed to execute 'open' on 'SerialPort': The port is already open. Using the Chrome (138.0.7204.185) and Brave (1.81.131, chromium 139.0.7258.66) browsers on mac os (15.6). The device in firmware download mode shows as USB JTAG/serial debug unit (cu.usbmodem1101) - Paired in the browser. This is on a T-Deck Plus recently purchased (but old style keyboard, it seems).

When not in bootloader mode I get NetworkError: Failed to execute 'setSignals' on 'SerialPort': Failed to set control signals but I'm guessing that's normal.

Hard to day. I was able to update to 1.7.4 on localhost app

Esptool-js was updated recently. Perhaps I should roll back

It might pretty well be caused by this issue:

Confirmed workaround until new version of Chrome has been released:

$ google-chrome-stable --disable-features=SerialSplitDtrAndRts

Chrome's version? This is a real PITA as described in the mentioned thread. But luckily, there is no need for this as you can simply disable Chrome's feature by using the workaround I mentioned above.

Linux Workaround: Run google-chrome-stable --disable-features=SerialSplitDtrAndRts in your terminal to open Chrome with the workaround and try flashing again.

macOS Workaround: Run /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --disable-features=SerialSplitDtrAndRts in your terminal to open Chrome with the workaround and try flashing again.
