Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We as contributors and maintainers of QbitStrike pledge to make participation in this project a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment:

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language
  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Accepting constructive criticism gracefully
  • Focusing on what is best for the project and the community
  • Showing empathy and kindness toward other contributors

Examples of unacceptable behavior:

  • Harassment, insults, or derogatory comments in any form
  • Personal or political attacks
  • Publishing others' private information without explicit permission
  • Trolling or deliberately disruptive behavior
  • Any conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Our Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards. They have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, issues, and other contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct, and to temporarily or permanently ban contributors for behaviors deemed inappropriate, threatening, or harmful.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces — including GitHub issues, pull requests, discussions, and any other official communication channels — as well as in public spaces when an individual is representing the project.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting the maintainer at:

mateo@callec.net

All reports will be reviewed promptly and handled with discretion. The maintainer is obligated to maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter.

Enforcement Guidelines

Maintainers will follow these steps when responding to violations:

  1. Correction — A private written warning clarifying the nature of the violation and expected behavior going forward
  2. Warning — A formal warning with consequences for continued behavior
  3. Temporary Ban — Temporary suspension from project participation
  4. Permanent Ban — Permanent exclusion from all project spaces

Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
