share podcasts between registered users

I installed it yesterday and after setting this up (i struggled a bit with oidc hence the issue i open and close earlier) i wonder if there is a way to share podcast between users.
I saw the reddit post where you are annoucing pinepods. You say you were looking for a way to keep track of podcast you like.
My use case is, as you, to keep track of podcasts i like. But i also want to share it (at least some of them) with my kids .
As these podcasts have been downloaded on the server could they be made available to other users on pinepods server?

Hey @caplam, yes to a point. Episodes themselves can currently be shared with other registered users by providing them a link to the episode while you have it open on the episode page. For example:

Regardless of whether you even have that podcast added that episode will open if you open it on your server. As for podcasts themselves, also yes, provide the user a link to that podcast while your have it opened:

So yeah you can just copy the links. You can also click the share button on an episode on the single episode page to share it to a user without an account on your instance with the special share link.

The limitation for your question is the sharing downloads between users. Currently only a user who downloaded the episodes is able to listen to their own downloads. So that's probably something for the future to add.
