Missing hint on google search

The link hints on the search page is the same thing as clicking on the three dots, it doesnt actually go to the search result. This is on the latest version of firefox (151) on Debian stable. Its been like this for a while.

Hi! Do you mean that you only get hints for the three dots when using the main “Click” shortcut?

I get hints for the actual links as well:

Yes, I use the standard keyboard shortcut alt + j

So for example, hitting N in the example above, and then alt + j again looks like the attached image. Pressing D will take me to the website, so its a workaround.

Its strange that it works for you. Maybe its a conflict with another extension? I tried turning off ublock origin but that did nothing. I tried a new private browsing window with all extensions disabled except link hints. That also did not work.

Ok, turns out it has to do with the zoom level of the website. Link hints will not work when zoomed in at 110% or 133%. All other zoom levels are ok. This on a standard 1080p desktop.

Interesting! I strangely seem to get all hints on all zoom levels.
