Why is n_neighbors given as an absolute number rather than as a fraction of the number of points ? Doesn't the choice of n_neighbors depend on the number of points ? If n_points is only 32 say, then n_neighbors of 16 is 1/2 the number of points and therefore will show global structure, whereas if the number of points is 4096 then n_neighbors of 16 is 1/256th the number of points and will focus on local structure
