Regression: Pasting in column mode

Not sure if this is a regression bug or new intended behaviour, but the following worked in 5.2.0 whereas it fails in 5.3.1. Maybe there is a setting to get back the previous behaviour which I don't know.

In the previous version if you are in column mode and copy/cut out a comment on the right side of the code spawning multiple lines and pasting it underneath it looks like the following:

Now it looks like follows:

For this to work at all also in previous version the editor scroll option "eoScrollPastEol" has to be set.
