SASS/SCSS middleware doesn't handle partial files

A feature some students have come to rely upon was abstracting SASS variables into a partial file, which the preprocessor would normally handle.
In this boilerplate, the files do not get the variables from a single file injected into all other files (as students would expect from their previous experience with tweeter), and so an error may occur as a result.
