inspect.lua must not be in runtime for show-pdf-tags

show-pdf-tags installs the third-party inspect.lua in the runtime. As I wrote to Ulrike on July 13, this is problematic for the usual filenames-must-be-unique insanity. She replied that "David and Marcel will take care of it." :). Help?

I couldn't tell from the code whether inspect.lua was actually needed by the package. If it's just there for debugging or whatever, I could move it to the source or other tree.

It is used at runtime to linearise some attributes.
Marcel will address it but he's currently travelling.
The situation isn't too bad in the meantime as the "conflicting" file is just a slightly older version of the same code and either will work in almost all cases. So the plan is to address this in the next release but I don't think you need to take any emergency action?

Ideally we we wouldn't need to rename and we could arrange both packages use the current version of inspect.lua but that would take a bit of coordination.

Thanks David. Indeed, no emergency. I don't think "everything uses the same version" is maintainable, in general. But if you feel like it, you could upload a package "inspect-lua" to have an "official" version of inspect.lua available. Then other packages could use it, and if they upload their own, they'll clearly have to rename. Just a thought ... --thanks, karl.
