Description
In a talk from six years ago, Chris talks about improving distributed latency with Partisan.
OTP 28 introduced "priority messages":
- https://www.erlang.org/doc/system/ref_man_processes#priority-message-warning
Although, currently only four (atom) levels are available: low, normal, high, and max.
I looked throughout Partisan but couldn't find any usages of this: https://github.com/search?q=repo%3Alasp-lang%2Fpartisan+%2Fpriority%2F&type=code
I assume Partisan settled on its own way of tagging messages for different delivery scenarios, but is there any potential upside of making use of the new OTP 28 feature? If not, what is missing? I'm mostly curious!
