Description
Hello there,
First up, I would like to applaud you (the developers of this app) for maintaining it. I have been using it on and off over the years and it usually worked pretty reliably. On the issue: When downloading the english Wikipedia (with pictures ), while the download started normally at the beginning, after pausing the download for unrelated purposing and then restarting it again, the app freezes for a while and then unfreezes. From then on, there would be neither any progress bar, nor any updates to download speed and downloaded size. The downloader appears to be running even after killing the gui via taskmanager and becomes unkillable even with superuser permissions. Restarting does kill it eventually, but canceling the download and starting from scratch (after the restart) results in the same behavior. After a while, the app and the downloader behave normally when a file (with the same size as the paused downloaded size) is created, even though the entire download is actually starting from scratch and the 80 GB file is not used.
My question now is: Is this behavior intended or was it just a result of the large filesize?
Edit:
For debug purposes: The download folder was on an HDD
