All my data disappeared the next morning, and the backups cannot be restored

Hello. This morning, I launched the application as usual, but it was completely empty. There were no tasks or settings, no statistics, nothing at all. It was as if I had launched the application for the first time, but it did not offer me to go through the tutorial.

I tried to restore the files /home/$USER/.var/app/com.super_productivity.SuperProductivity/ from my backup from yesterday, the day before yesterday, and last week. No luck.

I also tried to restore it through the daily SuperProductivity backup, but that didn't work either.

I don't see any notable errors in either the system logs or the developer console logs in SuperProductivity.

1. Can you suggest what the problem might be and how to recover, and how I can diagnose the problem more accurately?
2. Are there any other configuration files besides /home/$USER/.var/app/com.super_productivity.SuperProductivity/?
3. Yes, I saw a similar question (all my tasks disappeared this morning #3738), but there is no diagnosis of the problem or solution there, and the backup does not help me, or I am not restoring it correctly. I tried to import from the config/superProductivity/backups/ folder. Is that correct?

And unlike #3738, I don't have any synchronization enabled at all.

It's really hard to say what caused this. The app definitely does not delete lits own files. Maybe data got saved someplace else? You would have to do a manual search for "super_productivity", "superProductivity" and apparantly also "SuperProductivity".

I definitely recommend to setup some sort of sync as a backup mechanism. Especially if you are on a distro like Arch Linux.

I've already done this, and there are no files related to superProductivity in other locations.

I literally have a snapshot of data from the past few days and weeks. It feels like the app isn't displaying or loading them for some reason.

Can you tell me how I can manually verify that this is “the” data? For example, it would be enough for me to see that the names of my yesterday's tasks appear in the backup files. In which files are they stored in the file system?

UPD: I can see my tasks in superProductivity/backups/, but why aren't they restored when I try to import them? Is this a bug?

Do they show up when you restart the app directly after importing? Otherwise some logs would be helpful.

Um... I just launched the app, and after about three hours, all my data came back.

This is very strange, because before that, I restarted the app five or seven times while checking different options and backups, and every time everything was empty.

No. Only Flatpak files are located in the Flatpak directory; there are no other references or configurations related to the application.
