Repeatable tasks don't show up in Today anymore

I don't understand how repeatable tasks are intended to be used/work.

• I've created multiple repeatable tasks, some daily, some Mon-Fri.
• They've shown up in Today
• If one day passes and I didn't mark them as done, they get pushed to the next day as overdue, showing on them the date of yesterday
• If I delete the task instance for yesterday (or older), since a new one for today didn't appear, I completely loose that task
  • as in it never shows up in today again. EVER
  • It is still visible in the Planned / Repeat section, but all I can do from there is change/remove it's repeat schedule
  • They also show up in the Planner for every day (when they should) but they are in a different section from the other tasks, and I can't do anything with them but change their schedule

I can delete them an recreate them all for now, but my questions are:

• how do I handle them if they are not done in one day?
  • I just want the next daily iteration to appear tomorrow, and not have them duplicated in the next day, one of them overdue
• How can I fix my current situation with the tasks seemingly broken?

If repeatable tasks dont show up ever again, that sound like a bug. Does it still show on the overview page ("Planned / Repeat" in the menu) ?

Restarting the app, made new instances of the "broken" repeatable tasks appear. So it's not necessarily a bug. I just need to mark the day as finished every day, and restart the app.

I'm not particularly happy with this situation for now... I'll use it some more and see if I have any other revelations.

Restating should normally not be necessary. If it is for you, then it seems to be a bug.

It seems restarting does not always make the task instances for the new day show up.

There currently is no such documentation atm.

That is up to you. Personally my repeatable tasks are usually things that I can mark as done no metter what. If they are not and not done, I just plan them for the next day.

In that case I would just mark the repeat instance from the previous day as done (if i spent time on it), or I'll just delete it.

That sounds ideal, I think.

I'm afraid to delete it, since I think that's how I got without any instances last time. I'll use the app more, and report if I can find something reproducible consistently.
