Not sure if it is possible to fix either one. The first is related to your system not using a monospace font for the indicator. The second is related to how scrollbars work in chromium. There was an overlay mode before, but unfortunately they removed it :(

so can I set the font for this application stand alone ?

I can't just change all the fonts in my system, just for one app, right ?

The indicator uses a system library.

You should not change the system font if you don't want, but it is just an explanation why this can't be fixed.
