Can the "Later Today" section be disabled?

Just what the title says. It doesn't work well for me, so I'd like to know if there's a way to disable it. I searched on the settings menu, but I didn't see anything related.

No, currently not. You can just collapse it, if you don't like it though.

Sorry, I meant in a way that the tasks can be sorted? This feature just broke my workflow :')
I have unscheduled tasks that I want to squeeze between planned ones, but it can no longer be done, as the "Later Today" list is fixed, and only automatically generated with the Time set for a task.
Also, how does it actually work? I made a task that is almost (slightly under) an hour from now, and it went right to that list. Is it meant to populate with tasks that are "over a minute from now"? If so, does it really make sense? I mean, by that definition, anything outside that list is overdue...
I still don't like it, but I think it would make more sense if it were something like tasks that are scheduled >1h from now, or so. Maybe something that can be configured to a custom amount of time? But I'd love to see a toggle for this feature, as it just doesn't work for me, and I wonder if I'm the only one having trouble working with it.
