No popup when configuring Dropbox sync on Fedora Gnome

I've been trying to set up Dropbox synchronisation with SP, but I can't figure it out. If I understand correctly, a popup is supposed to appear when picking Dropbox as a sync provider, so that you can enter an authorisation code. When I pick Dropbox as a provider and turn on sync, nothing happens. I've tried relaunching (error: "initial sync failed") and reinstalling, to no avail. This happens with the Flatpak version as well as the Appimage.

I'm running Gnome on Fedora. Could the issue be with Gnome?

Edit: I tried version 13.0.4 with Flatpak and 13.0.0 with Appimage.

Does disabling and enabling sync help?

I am on a Mac 15.5 - I am using SP with 2 browser accounts, and wanted to enable sync on one of them.
No pop up for me.
I tried the same on the desktop app, still same result.
I am on SP 13.0.9

It worked out for me when used the 'sync' icon on the top right:

But not when doing the same stuff on the "settings-->sync" menu

This is what did it for me! It crashed the first time I tried it, but the second time it worked.

I just upgraded to Fedora 42 from Fedora 40. I used to be able to sync my desktop and phone super productivity tasks via dropbox, but now my desktop doesn't seem to pick up the tasks from dropbox. I get the pop up to enter an authentication code, then it looks like the syncing is happening, but the tasks in my dropbox db never appear. I installed Fedora 42 from scratch and this used to work just fine on Fedora 40. I tried the Flatpak version as well as installing the .rpm directly but didn't see any difference in behaviour. Any ideas what could be happening here?

Did you update all your instances of super productivity? And what files are in the Super Productivity dropbox folder?

Nope, good point! Now I upgraded all my instances of super productivity. My phone indeed claimed I had legacy data which was migrated to the new version. But for some reason the tasks still don't show up in my desktop app when I sync. When investigating the Super Productivity folder in Dropbox I see

OK, now I got it to work. For people who are also seeing similar issues: After upgrading Super Productivity on my phone I had to disable and reenable Dropbox sync and sync. This resulted in a prompt claiming that there were changes to both the local and remove version of the data and I had to select which variant the keep (the local one on my phone as that was the one holding all my tasks). Then, after syncing my desktop app, I now see all the tasks both on my desktop and on my phone!
