Is there a limit of backlog todo items?

I sync via dropbox, and I want to know if there is a limit of todo items that can sync? When I would have 300 backlog items, can they still sync? And do the finished items / tasks get auto cleaned?

Hey there! There is no hard limit to this, but sync will get slower the more items you have. Personally I amassed probably over 8000 tasks over the years (most of them in the task archive where done tasks go after you finish day) and the export file size (uncompressed) is around 6MB, which is pretty acceptable for that amount of data.

I would recommend not to put to many tasks in the backlog for three other reasons:

1. Rather than amassing lot of tasks, I personally find it better to focus more on the current problems. All you plan beyond a certain timeframe is usually likely to change, as circumstances tend to change. Having so many uncompleted tasks can also quickly start feel like a burden.
2. Rendering a karge amount of tasks (which only happens when the backlog is open) could slow down the app.

You can see the archive by hovering over a project or "Today" click on the three little dots that appear and select "Worklog".

Pushing and pulling via the bookmarks is really neat idea!

And is there a way to remove some log, so that realy old log won't be there for ever if I dont need it anymore?

You can delete projects, effectively deleting all tasks assigned to them. You can also restore tasks and then delete them. If you need more control you can also export all data and manipulate the json file.

I created a script to remove all archived tasks. 'Sp' stands for super-productivity. I think this script is helpful to do a cleanup every 3-6 months. I will maybe extend it to only delete them of a specific project and time range, and creating a dummy task to not lose spended time data.
