Hey there! There is no hard limit to this, but sync will get slower the more items you have. Personally I amassed probably over 8000 tasks over the years (most of them in the task archive where done tasks go after you finish day) and the export file size (uncompressed) is around 6MB, which is pretty acceptable for that amount of data.

I would recommend not to put to many tasks in the backlog for three other reasons:

  1. Rather than amassing lot of tasks, I personally find it better to focus more on the current problems. All you plan beyond a certain timeframe is usually likely to change, as circumstances tend to change. Having so many uncompleted tasks can also quickly start feel like a burden.
