running ng serve throws Error: Cannot find module 'unique-filename'

I did try the obvious to install unique-filename with yarn, but that did not help.
Also tried every combo of the suggestions from this sort of similar issue
any help?

What version of node are you using now and what version of yarn? Wasn't relevant until recently, but are you maybe using version 2.x? They completely changed their module system for some reason. Might be because of that. (Probably a good reason to switch back to npm now that I think about it.)

Interesting... for me it builds and serves perfectly fine no matter what version of node (14/16) or angular/cli (11/12) I'm using. It also says you're using yarn v1.22.10. Maybe try starting over or at least rm -rf node_modules and then try again?

so it worked fine in git pod ( i had to run yarn ng )

really not sure whats up with my mac build.
i tried installing older angular, and angular via brew instead of yarn global...

remove node_modules twice.
now cloning from scratch...

Hm very weird. yarn cache clean and completely re-installing all dependencies could be worth another attempt. Also a little bit more output from ng serve or even ng serve --verbose could help to to track down the problem. Also interesting to know would be, what is inside ./node_modules/unique-filename maybe something went wrong during install and the directory is empty or has some weird content? In this case rm ./node_modules/unique-filename && yarn might help.
