How to center Typst title

It seems the default Typst template does not center the title. For example, converting the following Markdown to PDF via Typst:

Using the command:

pandoc test.md -o test.pdf --pdf-engine typst

The resulting PDF looks like the screenshot below.

I wonder why the title is not center aligned even though the Typst template seems centered. How to center the title with the default template?

We have this in the template:

I suspect the issue here is that the align(center) takes an its argument a block. So, the whole block is centered, but if it already has a width of pagewidth, this does nothing. Then we have the inset: 2em for reasons that elude me.

@christopherkenny - can you clarify the motivations for this?

It wasn't centered before I added changes, as far as I can remember (and when I compile the old code). I believe I replaced the previous place with block when updating the features, since no columns were being used, but kept the spacing options to avoid any visual changes.

e01023c introduced place, but it was located at top rather than top + center

The inset just creates more space, but I'm indifferent. It's been in the template for a long time.
