Sharp memory monochrome displays?

Hi,

I am deciding whether to use a sharp memory monochrome display or amoled display.
Amoled comes with touch but performs poorly under sunlight.
Monochrome displays do not have touch, but can be read easily under sun and also have higher refresh rate than e-ink. It's basically e-ink, but better.
So, if I take monochrome without touch, shall I be able to navigate easily without much hassle? Are buttons enough for panning and zooming?
