Testing Email Notification

I'm trying to use Gmail and mailtos url format to send notifications. I have a docker environment up and running and the script reports successful connects to Southwest and my flights.

My config with another variation of mailtos as a test:

Am I doing something glaringly wrong (I hope)?

The Apprise documentation has some info on how to use the mailtos notifications, so that would be your best resource. From the quick look at it, you don't need to specify the @gmail.com in your notification URL, so perhaps something like this would work:

- mailtos://[email protected]:[email protected]
+ mailtos://me:[email protected]

If that doesn't work, I can also try setting one up to see if I can get it to work.

By the way, you can use the --test-notifications flag to test the notifications without needing to run the script fully.

Thanks for the quick reply @jdholtz . Your suggestion helped me troubleshoot this. In re-reading that page you linked, there was a little hint:

Secure connections are always implied whether you choose to use mailto:// or mailtos://

I dropped the "s" in mailtos and combined with your format of user name without domain worked.
