No, you do not need to merge them - keep them separate for history as you mention. What you should do is to allocate in two steps. First 5 from the first stock item, then you select allocate again and allocate the other two from the second stock item. That leaves you with 1 item left in the second stock item. I can recommend to alwyas assign batch codes to new stock items (such as the date or as we use year and week). This can be automatically done with a plugin. |

Hi everyone,
Started using Inventree about a month ago and really liking the features it offers compared to other solutions.
The only problem I have is that the items in stock are treated separately if they come from different purchase orders.
I'll give and example:
In the step 4 I can't allocate the stock because when i search for item A I get 2 results and I can't select both of them.
To resolve this, I guess that I need to merge the 2 stocks, but if I understood correctly, I would lose the history for the item being merged.
I would like to know if there is a way to resolve this, maybe by automatically merge the incoming items with the existing ones when purchasing, while maintaining the history of purchases/sales.
Thanks in advance!
